Team Manager
Function
Our client is looking for a Team Manager for its Language Services Department.
As a Team Manager, you are responsible for premium (translation) language support for the entire company: translations, copywriting, language advice, and 'tone of voice' training.
Tasks
- Lead, motivate and coach a team of 6 translators, interpreters, and copywriters
- Be the first point of contact for (translation) language projects. Analyze the needs of internal customers and set up proactive collaboration with clear governance and timings.
- Ensure that people and resources are used efficiently and effectively.
- Closely follow developments in the field of language and communication (clear writing, inclusive writing...) within and outside the sector and participate in relevant working groups and projects.
Required experience, skills, soft skills
- Strong skills in MS Office, esp. solid Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- Experience with communication and AI tools (Copilot)
- Proven track record of min. 5 years in a corporate communication context
- Expertise in internal communication (senior, 5 to 8 yrs)
- Proven expertise in managing (internal) communication teams (senior, 5 to 8 yrs)
- Both strategic and tactical experience (senior, 5 to 8 yrs)
- Pragmatic, proactive and structured approach
- Critical mindset
- Assertive
- Agile
- Languages: very good knowledge of Dutch - French - English, written and spoken
