Network Engineer & Cyber Security Officer

Functie

Our customer is looking for a candidate to combine the positions of System Engineer Telecom, Network and Cyber Security Officer.

Tasks as System Engineer Telecom, Network

LAN management (installations, upgrades, deployments based on Cisco technology)
Wireless deployments and management (based on Cisco technology)
WAN management (Optimization, problem solving, …)
Cisco call manager daily operations
Firewall hardware support
Providing level 2 support
Escalate new problems to suppliers’ Support Team or internally to Level 3
Write procedures for support teams (Level 1 and Level 2)
Keeping IT knowledge base up to date
Participation to on-duty team schedule
Project management concerning all network deployments (new/update) of LAN, WAN, Wireless… with other team members or suppliers with many interactions with the business.
Helping the team in other IT related tasks (Authorizations, Computer problems, …..)

Tasks as Cyber Security Officer

Create and follow up Risk Analyzes in collaboration with business. Follow up after validation.
Coordinate with Local and Central security teams on a regular basis or daily if necessary.
Collaborate regarding GDPR where necessary.
Investigate, report, follow up of cyber security incidents.
Promote, sensibilize and apply Cyber Security according to the rules of the company.
Daily checks. User definitions, AD rights, whitelisting requests, etc.
Collaborate with local IT regarding the follow-up security application.
Keeping IT knowledge base up to date

Requirements

Cisco CCNA or equivalent
Working with device console access, putty application
IP telephony, wireless, firewalls, security, WAN, LAN knowledge
Network troubleshooting skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft environment (AD, DHCP, O365, Windows, …)
Remote access and VPN technologies knowledge
Solid background in Security Compliance,
Thorough knowledge of local security regulations and ISO27001
Experience as an IT auditor is a plus.
Proactive, autonomous, contact builder
Knowledge of ITIL standards
Well-organised and able to write and document solutions, processes and procedures
Ability to present solutions and to give training sessions to other teams
Ready to travel for short-term missions to affiliates in the Benelux
At least 4 years of working experience in a company with a structured organization
Experience of at least 2 years in a similar job
